An aging, booze-addled father makes the trip from Montanta to Nebraska with his estranged son in order to claim a million dollar Publisher's Clearing House sweeptakes prize.

Storyline

After receiving a sweepstakes letter in the mail, Woody, a cantankerous father, thinks he's struck it rich. Woody, who does not trust the US postal service to mail in his "winning" certificate, is determined to walk to Lincoln, Nebraska, the headquarters of the company, to pick up his $1 million. Younger son David goes reluctantly, suspecting his dad's winning ticket is the same personalized form letter sent to millions, agrees into taking a road trip to claim the fortune.
